Overview of Plant Disease Diagnoses for 2014

216 samples were received from Marion county in 2014, more tham 75% of which were divided between fungal diseases and abiotic issues. Abiotic issues included cold injury, incorrect pH, nutrition issues and chemical injury. Fungal diseases included, anthracnose on woody ornamentals; Fusarium root rots and dieback on field crops, vegetables, and herbaceous ornamentals; Pythium root rots on herbaceous and woody ornamentals; and Phytophthora in woody ornamentals and small fruits.
